Still Waters Family Health Services

Meet our Team

Bradley J. Shaw, CRNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, MBA

Brad is the founder of Still Waters Mental Health Services, and brings two decades of diverse healthcare experience and proven business acumen to the organization. He practices servant leadership by empowering team members to claim personal responsibility for routine decision-making, allowing for daily challenges to be met head-on with vigor and flexibility. As a clinician, Brad is dual board-certified as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) and a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). This robust education and experience enables positive patient-centered outcomes. By taking his time and listening to patients and injecting random humor and lightheartedness, he is able to formally diagnose and treat medical and mental health conditions, order and interpret labs and other diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, and provide psychotherapy. His philosophy is that medication is one of many tools available to alleviate symptoms, and he often continues to dig until the root cause can be uncovered. His style of providing psychotherapy is time-limited, present-focused, structured, supportive and goal-focused. Sessions are infused with therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solutions-focused therapy (SFT), exposure therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other theoretical underpinnings. His primary specialties include diagnosing and treating ADHD, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. Brad has personally struggled with panic attacks, generalized anxiety disorder, and more than anything – ADHD. He specializes in a functional medicine holistic approach, and this invites current and future clients to a very comforting and accepting space.

As a native to Clearfield County, Brad opened this private practice in July 2020 – in the heart of the COVID pandemic –  to increase access and reduce barriers to holistic mental health treatment in the local community and surrounding regions of Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.  He and his wife Mandie have been married for over 20 years, and they have three adopted children. Brad is an avid outdoorsman, and can often be found hunting and fishing in his free time. He also enjoys playing drums, volunteering with his church’s worship team, and playing or watching sporting events.

She completed her nurse practitioner training at Clarion University and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania Consortium and graduated in 2016. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and began her career at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Cherry Tree, PA, where she took care of patients in an underserved area. She then worked for Penn Highlands Healthcare in both urgent care and family practice for three years, and then became an assistant professor in the undergraduate nursing program at Lock Haven University.

Mandie joined Still Waters in 2021 when she and her husband, Brad, decided that they wanted to pursue opening an integrated primary care and mental health practice to better serve the patients of the community. In November of 2021, Mandie received her Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association. This certification enables Still Waters to provide comprehensive care to patients who are interested in weight management options that are based on scientific evidence and medical expertise. These options may include such things as personalized dietary education and/or exercise plans as well as medication management. In December of 2022, Mandie completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree; as the terminal degree for her profession, her new professional delegation is Dr. Mandie Shaw, DNP, FNP-C. The Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree requires intensive research and case studies with continued focus on the pathophysiology of disease processes and medications. In 2025, Mandie again expanded her knowledge base to include specialized training in hormone replacement therapy (HRT), specifically focusing on women in perimenopause and menopause.

As a native of the region, Mandie is highly engaged and invested in the communities she serves. She provides exceptional, evidence-informed primary care services, including management of chronic and acute conditions in patients age one and up.
