Still Waters Family Health Services

Meet our Team

Bradley J. Shaw, CRNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, MBA

Bradley has over 20 years of diverse healthcare experience, including over 10 years as a registered nurse in various settings including: Emergency and critical care, long term care, home health, mental health, and case management. He practiced as a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) in urgent care but recognized quickly that his passion and calling is mental health care. He practiced in integrated behavioral health, family medicine, and medication assisted treatment for three years, and obtained board certification as a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in 2020. As a dual-certified family and psychiatric nurse practitioner, he is able to truly address the needs of and treat the whole person; he is able to diagnose and treat medical and mental health conditions, order and interpret labs and other diagnostic testing, prescribe medications to treat these conditions, and provide psychotherapy.

As a native to Clearfield County, Brad opened this private practice in 2020 to increase access and reduce barriers to holistic mental health treatment in the local community and surrounding regions of Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. The practice is now growing in order to meet other medical needs of the community. He and his wife Mandie have been married for 20 years, and they have three adopted children. He enjoys hunting and being outdoors, playing drums on the worship team, gardening, and playing wiffle ball with his family in his spare time.

Mandie Shaw, CRNP, FNP-C

Mandie has over 15 years of healthcare experience taking care of all age ranges. She completed her nurse practitioner training at Clarion University and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania Consortium and graduated in 2016. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and began her career at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Cherry Tree, PA, where she took care of patients in an underserved area. She then worked for Penn Highlands Healthcare in both urgent care and family practice for three years, and then became an assistant professor in the undergraduate nursing program at Lock Haven University.

Mandie joined Still Waters in 2021 when she and her husband, Brad, decided that they wanted to pursue opening an integrated primary care and mental health practice to better serve the patients of the community. In November of 2021, Mandie received her Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association. This certification enables Still Waters to provide comprehensive care to patients who are interested in weight management options that are based on scientific evidence and medical expertise. These options may include such things as personalized dietary education and/or exercise plans as well as medication management. In December of 2022, Mandie completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree; as the terminal degree for her profession, her new professional delegation is Dr. Mandie Shaw, DNP, FNP-C. The Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree requires intensive research and case studies with continued focus on the pathophysiology of disease processes and medications.

As a native of the region, Mandie is highly engaged and invested in the communities she serves. She provides exceptional, evidence-based primary care services, including management of chronic and acute conditions in patients ages 1 and up. In her free time, Mandie enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and attending her kids sporting events.

Juli

Julianne, known as Juli, has been with Still Waters for over a year, and has worn many hats in the daily functions of the clinic. Most importantly, she has completed her clinical internship and recently became a certified registered nurse practitioner and a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

Juli started her health care journey as a certified nursing assistant when she was a senior in high school. With over 20 total years of healthcare experience, she completed her associate of science in nursing degree at Lock Haven University in 2009, and in 2012 graduated from Penn State University with her bachelor of science in nursing. She practiced as a registered nurse for 13 years, with extensive psychiatric nursing experience providing services to patients of all ages in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She also worked in psychosocial nursing for Head Start and Nurse-Family Partnership. As an RN, she organized and maintained the mental health program for a large skilled nursing facility.

She completed graduate studies at La Salle University, graduating in 2022. During her studies, she built upon her psychiatric experience, mastering psychopharmacology and various psychotherapy modalities. She trained with a variety of health care professionals, including psychiatrists and other physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and therapists. Her training included inpatient rounds and emergency department consultations at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

A Brockway native and a graduate of DuBois Central Catholic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and pets – or furry children as she refers to them! While her children are grown, her furry children attend day care which pictures are often shared at the office. She loves nature and can be found biking or hiking on time off in the summer and enjoys the water sports of kayaking and paddle boarding. She plans on integrating a therapeutic support animal, bringing her adorable sheltie “Happy” to the office to help brighten everyone’s day!  Juli is a huge asset to the Still Waters family, and we are honored to have her.

Juli is accepting new patients for psychotherapy and medication management. She is able to provide services to patients age 6 and up, and specializes in providing various psychotherapy modalities as part of a holistic, patient-centered approach.
